Shinjuku (disambiguation)

Several places in Japan are named Shinjuku (新宿 Shinjuku?). Its etymologies include "atarashii shukuba" (新しい宿場? lit. new post town), and abbreviation of "shinkyo no yado" (新居の宿? lit. newly built inn).
In Tokyo:
- Shinjuku (新宿 Shinjuku?), also 新宿地区 (Shinjuku-chiku?), a place name of the region surrounding Shinjuku Station, including parts of Shibuya ward.
- Shinjuku, Tokyo (新宿区 Shinjuku-ku?), one of the 23 special wards of Tokyo, formed in 1947 by the merger of Ushigome, Yotsuya, and Yodobashi wards
- Naitō-Shinjuku, a town that existed until 1920. In 1920, it was incorporated into Yotsuya.
- Town names within present day Shinjuku-ku: Shinjuku 1-chome through 7-chome
