Shindo-ryu

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Shindo-ryu (truth/reality way/style), is karate (empty hand) as founded by Stephen Grayston in 1984. The style is prominent with its use of cross-blocking.

The headquarters of the style is in England.

In 2006, after exposure on the internet of Mr Grayston for self awarding all his grades above 1st Dan to eventually 10th Dan and other discrepancies, the Shindo ryu have closed it's website and Mr Grayston has stated on an internet discussion forum that he has withdrawn from the martial arts world.

Mr Grayston was a great organiser of martial arts events and previously published a high quality magazine titled Steve Grayston's Martial Arts.
