Shimon "Shim" Moore is the lead singer and guitarist of Australian indie rock band Sick Puppies. Together with Emma Anzai, he is one of the founding members of the band. Moore is also an occasional actor.
Moore filmed Juan Mann, who he had met a year earlier, on his journey around Sydney in the Free Hugs Campaign. The song "All the Same" by the Sick Puppies ended up becoming the theme for the Free Hugs video, featured on YouTube.
Moore said in an interview that he was always the weird kid with the weird name when he was at school. His father sold computer programs, and occasionally gave some to Shim. One such program was a teach your self guitar program. Moore also later took guitar lessons, but says that he learned most of what he knows by just messing around. He met Emma at High School and together they started to play together, in a band that would eventually become Sick Puppies.
Moore is endorsed by Gibson guitars and Marshall amplifiers.[1]
