Shimofusa, Chiba

Shimofusa (下総町; -machi) is a section of Narita in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It was a town located in Katori District prior to its 2006 merger with Narita.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 7,891 and a density of 246.59 persons per km². The total area is 32.00 km².
On March 27, 2006, the Shimofusa and the town of Taiei both merged into the city of Narita.

Public elementary and junior high schools are operated by the City of Narita.
Shimofusa High School is operated by the Chiba Prefectural Board of Education.
