Shim Seong-min (born 1978 - d. July 30, 2007) was a 29-year-old South Korean man kidnapped and executed by the Taliban during the 2007 South Korean hostage crisis in Afghanistan. He served the Republic of Korea Army as a first lieutinent to accomplish his ROTC duty.
