Shilpa Shirodkar

Shilpa Shirodkar (born 20 November 1969) is an Indian actress and model who enjoyed a period of popularity in the 1990s. She is the elder sister of actress Namrata Shirodkar. She made her film debut with the 1989 film Bhrashtachar. She has appeared in successful films such as Kishen Kanhaiya (1990), Hum (1991), Aankhen (1993) and the critically acclaimed Mrityudand (1997). She quit acting after her marriage like her sister Namrata. Her last film appearance was in the 2000 film Gaja Gamini. In her short film career she did not get enough opportunity to showcase her talents and was stuck with roles which provided glamour to the films. She tied the knot with Holland resident Apresh Ranjit at a simple ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday, July 11, 2000.
