Shigeo Arai (新井 茂雄 Arai Shigeo?, born 1917 May 10 in Shizuoka - April 10, 1988) is a Japanese freestyle swimmer. He won gold medal for the Men's 4×200 m freestyle relay in the 1936 Summer Olympics, alongside Masanori Yusa, Masaharu Taguchi, and Shigeo Arai.
