[edit] Wish upon a Shining Star

This year’s Youth Panel Event, Wish Upon A Shining Star, will take place during SHINE’s official launch on 28 June. It will involve youth from all walks of life coming together to fold paper stars for charity. The diverse nature of these activities is hoped to not only attract, but engage youth from all walks of life, encouraging them to play active roles in shaping the fabric of the society they live in.

The total funds raised will be donated to President’s challenge to help the less fortunate beneficiaries and to raise funds for the social service sector.

SHINE 2008 organising committee is made up of 28 enthusiastic and exuberant youth who conceptualise and implement different aspects of the festival. The four sub-committees of the Youth Organising Committee are Programming, Events, Publicity and Sponsorship and Volunteer management.
