[edit] Signature?
I saw from the history of your talk page that you tried to put 'You can sign your name with ~~~~', but took it out when you found that putting quotes around ~~~~ didn't stop it being automatically converted into a signature. Here's how to do that: <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> On the same kind of topic, if you wondered how I made <nowiki> and </nowiki> appear, it was by enclosing them in (separate) pairs of <nowiki></nowiki>. I didn't know any of this 10 minutes ago - you got me curious. Fun! :P GhostGirl 07:33, 22 October 2005 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks. I was kind of busy in the last month to contribute to wikipedia, but now I have the time. Sheehan 06:59, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Bangladesh related articles
I am creating a list of Bangladesh related articles in List of Bangladesh-related topics. Please feel free to expand the related articles listed there. Thanks. --Ragib 09:09, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
BTW, have you registered in the bangla wikipedia (http://bn.wikipedia.org )? I forgot whether I've seen you there ... Thanks. --Ragib 03:54, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- No, I didn't register there (yet). I was kind of sad to see the Bangla Wikipedia lacking in articles... we need to make people in our country more aware of this. You were interviewed in a recent Prothom Alo article about Wikipedia, which I hope has made at least some people know about this. Congratulations on being the first wikipedian to be featured in a Bangladeshi newspaper. By the way, it's a good thing you reminded me to work on Bangladesh-related stuff. Sometimes I forget my priorities as a Bangladeshi Wikipedian :) I'll try to work on them soon after I finish making Worlds in Collision a good article. Sheehan (Talk) 05:49, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

- Right now, we're up to 780+ pages in bn-wiki, though most are stub pages. I'm creating stub pages for all districts of Bangladesh, and up to almost 50 of them now ... of course, the articles are just stubs with the structure only, and would need to be expanded by people knowledgeable about each area. But anyway, the bn-wiki is expanding, and hopefully by Pohela Baishakh, we'd be up to or close to 1000. There would be a meet of local wikipedians, mostly to promote Bangla wikipedia in Ramna Park on Pohela Baishakh. Thanks. --Ragib 07:06, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Strangers on a train.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Strangers on a train.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:55, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Strangers on a train.png
Thanks for uploading Image:Strangers on a train.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 04:37, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
