sheikie (realname: sheila marie orpilla).The stars must have been aligned that day
of March 4 of 1984 when Sheila Marie de Asis Orpilla was born in Solana, Cagayan, because
almost everything thereafter led her straight to the heights of her dreams.
Called by many as Sheiki was the perfect union of two souls Mario Orpilla and Ursula
Orpilla. Born from a politically inclined family, sheiki’s destiny rested on the flip of a
coin. Heads, she follows the political ambition of her father. Tails, she pursued her
mother’s dream of becoming a simple yet successful individual.

She spent her grade school years in Solana South Central School where she graduated with
flying colors in 1997. Back then, she was known to be a dreamer and achiever at the same
time. She pursued her secondary education in Cagayan National High School. She graduated in
2001 holding her dreams in her heart. She had always wished of studying in the premiere
university. In that same year, she passed the UPCAT under the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
program. However, her passion led her to shifting to another program, Bachelor of Science
in Agriculture where she has shown interest and excellence and then later decided to major
in Agricultural Extension Communication.

She has proven many things to herself and to other people in her stay in the university. She
joined UP Cagayanos and Tau Gamma Sigma- Triskelions’ Grand Sorority. She spent her last
year in the university as the President of the UP Cagayanos and at the same time as the
Deputy Grand Lady Triskelion of Tau Gamma Sigma where she proved herself to be a leader who
is true to her principles and ideals yet still shows compassion to her peers.

A blessed person through and through, Sheikie is one of the lucky few who are gifted with a real good family. Though there are only four of them, the love and support they show for each other can withstand any hurdles life may bring.
With an eye for beauty and a skilled hand, Sheikie makes one heck of a gifted artist. She paints, she draws, she sees all things beautiful and crafts them with her own hand. A bright student also, with a talent for getting things done in the most efficient and cleverest of ways.
Amongst other things, Sheikie truly knows the meaning of friendship. She will stand by you through thick and thin and tough and whatever else there may be. A true friend as they say for she will also show you your faults in order to make you a better person. She is very frank and very candid and people love that about her.
A beautiful person inside and out, Sheiki will always reach for the stars, because she knows she can.
