Talk:Shetland bus

[edit] "British submarines"
The article North Sea says the bus was continued by British submarines, yet here they are listed as HNoMS, and submarine chasers. I've fixed this to say British sub chasers for now. As for ownership and command of the vessels, it seems reasonable to assume that the Norwegian military was not able to operate during the occupation, so I would suspect these ships were British-owned at the time, and may have been given to Norway after the war. Does anyone have information on this history? 82.71.48.158 15:15, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, the Shetlopedia link makes it reasonably clear. 82.71.48.158 15:20, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
- The Norwegian navy in exile owned and operated 118 vessels june 1940 - may 1945 (58 still active by may 1945). Norsk krigsleksikon 1940-45, Cappelen, Oslo, 1995. Gams2 (talk) 13:45, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
