[edit] Changes

I added to and made some changes to the portion describing the story. Some parts were missing or explained in an incorrect manner.

Looking back on the revisions made in February, with the exception of the way names were spelled, the story section seemed to be accurate without traveling into the unnecessary amount of pedantry and poor structure it seems to have fallen into in its current state. 75.2.9.203 19:12, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] about the fps

Could anyone confirm that the game runs at 30 and not at 60 frames per second. When i played the game i felt animation was smoothier than the original shenmue.

the dreamcast version barely runs at 30 fps. it has several slowdowns. in the xbox version it runs at fixed 30

[edit] Better

The same goes for this article. It really needs sorting out! It's just notes and notes. It needs to be better, "get to the point" and cleaier. Also the gameplay needs more notes!
I don't know what "Shenmue Movie" is in Shenmue 1 article. When the damn movie is in this damn game!

The "Shenmue Movie" is the accompanying disc/DVD that one will get when they purchase the game, Shenmue 2 for the Xbox. It consists of nothing but the cut-scenes from the first game, Shenmue, spliced together in an attempt to tell/recap the story up to the point where one who hadn't played the previous game could understand key elements of the plot that would reappear in the second. --71.156.85.133 16:59, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] overusage of italics

Reading through, I noticed a lot of the names of characters are in italics. This shouldn't be the case. If they were book titles or the like, it would be but they need to be unformatted. --69.208.131.161 19:47, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Neutrality

"After some time a new Shenmue project was underway and gave fans hope until it was revealed to be Shenmue Online. " I can't be bothered to sort this out, but this is quite clearly not a neutral POV. 81.103.93.165 13:31, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Fixed. [1] --Dreaded Walrus t c 12:48, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gay Character

I remember reading that when Shenmue 2 was ported to the Xbox in the US, a gay character was removed from the game. I'd like to add this to the article, but I can't remember the character's name or the source of the information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 214.13.47.111 (talk) 10:46, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure this was mentioned in the article. The character is Yuan, Dou Niu's second in command and he wasn't removed, they just assigned a female voice actress to the character and wrote elements of any homosexual relationship out of the translated plot as a result. I do agree that this could stand to be verified though but have no definite source to contribute in regard to it. --71.156.88.143 (talk) 04:21, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Shenmue III & Future Developments

The mention of Shenmue Online being cancelled is contradicted by the article for it on Wikipedia, which asserts that it has a confirmed release set for the Eastern territory. Just thought that'd be worth mentioning. --71.156.88.143 (talk) 04:25, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
