[edit] Shelby in Lake County, Indiana?
Are you sure? There are townships called Shelby in a few different counties in Indiana, and there is a town called Shelbyville in Shelby County, but I can't find one in Lake County. --Eastmain 05:55, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
yes im sure there is a town called shelby indiana. zip code 46377. its in lake county and directly south of Lowell, IN and north of Thayer IN. students there use to have their own school but after a fire they all now attend school in the tri-creek school corporation. since the town is so small i dont think they have an official website. i was able to google the town and see maps etc showing location and even a listing of some businesses in shelby. im still new to wikipedia and am not comfortable writing an entire article, but i hope this information helps somewhat. http://www.amazon.com/gp/yp/geo/IN/Shelby/ my cordinated were wrong, i fixed it and spruced up the article a little M8gen
- I can also confirm that there is a town called Shelby, Indiana. It is a very small farming commmunity, that basically is an extension of Lowell.

- i will get bored enough to expand this article with historical & informative facts. i may need help learning citations and other proper wikipedia markings. M8gen 09:02, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'll also vouch for Shelby's existence. It's on the Kankakee River, on Lake County's southern edge. I've cycled there on country roads and gone fishing there with my son. Quiet little town. Zajacd01 15:40, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
- Details are at the US Placenames Gazetteer.
[edit] Photo(s)
I've uploaded a photo--not the best, but it's something--taken from the bridge across the Kankakee River. If anyone has a better photo of Shelby to contribute, please, don't hesitate. This one will do for the moment. Zajacd01 16:53, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
