Someone who sent an email to Wikipedia has pointed out that Shel Talmy was born in 1941 and that he live in Los Angeles until he moved to London. I haven't managed to find an exact source to verify this, but the subject's homepage (http://www.sheltalmy.com/) and a two part interview here and here may be of some use in this matter.
