I've just pruned this a bit, copy-edited and rewritten after Captain Scarlet's major re-write - IMHO the bit about Victoria's light fittings is maybe straying a little to far into trivia - I know it's from Batty's book!

With regard to Masboro' Freightliner terminal does anyone have any more info on this? Batty mentions it very briefly but does not expand, the terminal wasn't there (and there was no sign of it) by the 1980s. I'm wary of what I'm putting here with regards to WP:No original research, however if Batty said it existed and then it suddenly it didn't at a time when most other cities had freightliner terminls (BR started culling them mid-1980s), we can deduce that it closed at some point prior to then and therefore wasn't that succesful!

By the way the 10% figure is mentioned in the BBC documentary Engines must not enter the potato siding which is downloadable. I'll try to work out what the proper wiki format is for references to video media files.
