Shevgaon

Shevgaon is a tehsil in Ahmednagar subdivision of Ahmednagar in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
Avhane - Temple of Ganesh (Nidrista/Sleeping).
Shevgaon was traditionally been "shiv" or boundary between western Maharashtra and Marathwada regions.Many villages of this tehsil were sub-merged into waters of Jayakwadi dam in 1970s.

Shevgaon has an NCP MLA Mr narendra patil ghule. It has grown to a town of population of about 50000
basucally it was bordar of maratha state. that time it use to call shivgaon later it became shevgaon. two marathi actors are from this tehsil one is Sadashiv Amarapurkar from Amrapur and Madhu Kambikar from Kambi.
