Sheryl Sandberg

Sheryl Sandberg is the Chief Operating Officer of Facebook Inc. Before that she served as Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Sandberg previously served as chief of staff to Secretary of the Treasury Lawrence Summers from 1999 to 2001. She joined Google when George W. Bush came into office and both Summers and his team left the Treasury. Prior to that, she was a management consultant at McKinsey & Co. and an economist at the World Bank.
While at Google, Sandberg successfully spearheaded many of Google's advertising products, particularly Google AdWords.
She also served on the board of Google's philanthropic division, Google.org, whose stated goal is providing sustainable solutions to the problems of poverty, energy and the environment.
Sandberg also serves in the board of directors of ehealthinsurance.com (Quote: EHTH)
She was included in Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women of 2007 and, at the age of 38, had the distinction of being the youngest on the list.
In March of 2008 she left Google Inc. to become Facebook Inc.'s COO, replacing Owen Van Natta.[1]
