Sherwin Peak

Sherwin Peak (82°37′S, 161°48′E) is a peak, 2,290 m, surmounting the east side of Otago Glacier 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Mount Chivers, in the north part of Queen Elizabeth Range. Mapped by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) from tellurometer surveys and Navy air photos, 1960-62. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for James S. Sherwin, ionospheric scientist at Little America V, 1958.
