Sherry Boschert is a reporter, president of the San Francisco Electric Vehicle Association, and author of the book Plug-in Hybrids: The Cars that Will Recharge America.[1] She is a senior reporter and San Francisco bureau chief of the International Medical News Group, a division of Elsevier, where she has worked since 1991. She has published more than 2,000 articles over her 27-year career as a journalist.[2] She has won journalism awards from the American Academy of Dermatology, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month program, and the New York Press Association. She is on the board of Plug In America.

A 10-year campaign she began with the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association successfully persuaded news media companies to offer domestic partner benefits. As an environmentalist, she purchased her first electric car after installing solar panels on her roof.[3]
