Sherman Independent School District is a public school district based in Sherman, Texas (USA).

In addition to Sherman, the district also serves the village of Knollwood.

  • Set a Texas high school football record in 2005 of having the worst season record(3-8) ever and still qualify for the playoffs.
  • That same year, the Sherman high school marching band wins 3rd place in the Texas UIL State Marching Competition.
  • The 2006 football season ended at 8-2, yet the Bearcats did not continue to 4A playoffs.
  • The Sherman High School Marching Band won First Place in the UIL Area B Marching Competition in 2007, out of twenty competing area bands.
  • In 2007, the Sherman High School Marching Band was 10th Place in UIL 4A Finals.
