Sherbro International Airport (IATA: BTE, ICAO: GFBN) is a newly constructed international airport located in the coastal town of Sherbro Island in the Southern province of Sierra Leone . It is one of the two major airports for domestic and international flight to or from Sierra Leone. The Airport is operated by the Sierra Leonean Airports Authority.
There are currently plans to construct a new airport runway on Sherbro Island. The new runway will be the phase of a new development programme for the Island and will enable the airport to accommodate commercial air craft from destinations around the world.
