Sher Afzal Khan Barikoti (Pashto: شيرافضل خان برېکوټي) is a Pashto author and historian born in Swat. He lives in England from where he has published many books on Pashto history and literature. He is published in Pashto (Pukhto) & Urdu. He is currently working on building the Masjid Bab-Ul-Islam & Shah Wali-Ullah School of Sciences in his native village of Barikot, in Swat, N.W.F.P.

[edit] Masjid Bab-Ul-Islam & Shah Wali-Ullah School of Sciences

Sher Afzal Khan Barikoti is currently building the Masjid Bab-Ul-Islam with an accompanying school of sciences in his native village of Barikot, Swat. This project is now nearing completion. He is building this on land he has donated in the name of Allah. Many people have contributed, and continue to contribute, to the building of this new Mosque and adjoining school in this historic village once the battle ground of Alexander The Great.
