Boston, Massachusetts based architecture firm Shepley Bulfinch (Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbott Inc.) services a portfolio of national and international clients with architecture, planning, and interior design solutions. Shepley Bulfinch was formed in Boston in 1874 by the famed American architect Henry Hobson Richardson. The present day firm is a strong leader [1] in the design of sustainable, energy-efficient buildings and collaborative environments for some of the worlds leading academic, healthcare, research, civic and corporate institutions.

Shepley Bulfinch is one of the oldest and most notable continuously-practicing architectural firms in the world and was recognized by The American Institute of Architects with its highest honor, the AIA Architecture Firm Award. The firms recent work for Children's Hospital Boston was profiled in the July 2007 issue of Healthcare Design Magazine [2] and was recipient of Modern Healthcare's 2006 Award of Excellence[3]. Shepley Bulfinch was ranked third among the top architectural firms in the US in terms of the dollar value of new healthcare projects now underway, according to the September 2007 issue of Health Facilities Management.
