Shepherd Glen Elementary School is an elementary school located on Skiff Street Extension in Hamden, Connecticut. It was established in 1972. It teaches grades K to 6. The current principal is Mr. Christopher Melillo.

Shepherd Glen is basically round. It features an outdoor baseball/softball field. The school center is a library, also know as the Media Center. The classrooms are in 5 separate rooms, known as "units". They are named (in order) Explorer, Discoverer, Pioneer, Colonizer, and Developer. There is also an art room, a music room, a gymnasium, a student support center, and offices for support staff (school psychologist, school social worker, special education/resource teacher, speech and language pathologist, literacy specialist and school nurse).

The Media Center (also the library) is the center of the school. The current media specialist is Ms. Koskoff. Books are read to students in 3rd and lower grades.

Explorer has 2 classes and teaches kindergarten.

Discoverer has 3 classes and teaches 1st grade.

Pioneer has 4 classes and teaches 2nd and 3rd grades.
