Shenton

Shenton is a village in rural Leicestershire.
It is the southern terminus of the Battlefield Line Railway, which runs to here from Shackerstone. The station is located at the foot of Ambion Hill and is actually the reconstructed Humberstone Road Station from Leicester. The original station being demolished in the 1940's? except for a small lamp room that now serves as the Station Pottery.
It is a short drive from the M1 motorway. It is close to the famous Battle of Bosworth Field, which took place south of Market Bosworth.
