Shelby Davis

Shelby Davis is the founder of investment management firm Davis Selected Advisors, which as of 2008 manages about $100 billion in several funds. He is the son of Shelby Cullom Davis, who was a successful money manager himself. He is also a philanthropist, most closely associated with educational initiatives, including the Shelby Davis Scholarship program.

Davis began his career at The Bank of New York where he rose to be the Head of the Research Department and was named the youngest Vice President since Alexander Hamilton. He is a graduate of Princeton University and currently serves as a trustee of the university.
