Sheikh Zakaria Badat

Molana Zakaria Badat is a Imam who was born in the state of Gujarat, India. He moved to England at the age of two where he lived until recently. Molana Zakaria studied Islamic Theology at the Institute of Islamic Education Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, UK. He has memorized the entire Qur’an and is considered Hafez of the Qur'an. He holds a Masters Degree from the University of Portsmouth UK in Islamic Studies and Politics. He was the Imam of Masjid-al-Falah in Leicester for 10 years. Moalana Zakaria was also a visiting Imam in the UK prisons, and was part of the multi faith forum in the UK. He has been a radio presenter on Radio Ramadhan Special in the UK for six years with his friend Molana Ibrahim Mogra who regularly comes on BBC Radio 4 and Newsnight.
He has lectured at the University of Leicester UK, De Montfort University UK, Florida International University in Miami, and recently in July 2006 at a peace conference organized by Shree Morari Bapu of India in Leicester UK.
Imam M Zakaria is fluent in five languages Arabic, English, Gujarati, Urdu and Hindi. He has traveled around the World promoting peace Albania, Saudi Arabia, India, Russia, Lithuania, USA, Canada, Belarus, and Europe.
He is the resident Imam at Masjid An-Noor in Kendall and the The Islamic School of Miami since March 2005.
He is currently living in America - Miami and is the imam.
