Sheikh Khalifa City

Sheikh Khalifa City (Arabic: شيخ خليفة‎) is the Arabic name for the site of Morag, in the southwestern Gaza Strip, named after United Arab Emirates President Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Khalifa plans to personally fund construction there of a major housing programme of 3000 apartments. Morag was a Gush Katif settlement that was destroyed by Israel in 2005.[1]
