Sheikh Jabir al-Kaabi

Sheikh Jabir al-Kaabi (178~ - 1881) (Arabic: شيخ جابر الكعبي) was the leader of the Bani Kaab Arab tribe and the Sheikh of Mohammerah during the 19th century.[1] He had two sons, Sheikh Maz'al, who succeeded him as tribal leader, and Sheikh Khaz'al.
A strong and outspoken leader, Jabir was close with Nassereddin Shah Qajar and was a vital force in successfully defending Khuzestan from invading British and Ottoman forces.
