The Sheffield Hallam Warriors have achieved success early in their BUAFL tenure, winning the Northern Conference-Western Division Championship in only their second season. Despite a disappointing 2005-06 season, with strong support and experienced players and coaches, the Warriors are poised to become a consistent contender in the rough and tumble Northern Conference.

[edit] The Logo wars and BOWLRS
At the beginning of the 2006/2007 season, the newly voted committee decided to change the logo which had served the team since its conception in 2002. The new logo, which was copied from numerous notable American Football teams in the USA, replaced the original design by Michael Jenkins, who played for the Warriors between 2002 and 2005 and was a prominent figure in the team's social affairs.
The removal of the old logo sparked furious response from the Warrior's alumni, many of whom saw the act as a dismissal of their hard work towards establishing the club and an attempt to eradicate an important part of the club's short history. Jenkins, along with a number of gentlemen from the Warriors alumni, established BOWLRS (Brotherhood for the Original Warrior Logo Resurrection in Sport) and furiously campaigned for the original logo to be reappointed. The Warrior's committee refused to budge.
In October 2007, BOWLRS achieved a small victory for their cause. In the hours preceding the inaugural Warriors Alumni game (which was won by the Alumni 16 - 0 and has been referred to as the War of the Logos), BOWLRS successfully painted the original logo in the end zone of the Warriors pitch. The victory symbolised the strength behind the original banner of the Warriors and added much needed support to BOWLRS cause.
The War still rages today.
