The Chaim Sheba Medical Center (Hebrew: המרכז הרפואי ע"ש חיים שיבא - תל השומר‎), often referred to as the Tel HaShomer Hospital, is the largest hospital in Israel,[1] world renowned for its medical services, research, and patient care. It was founded in 1948, one month after Israel was established.

The Sheba Medical Center also has a military wing serving the Israel Defense Forces.

Sheba Medical Center is located in the east side of the city of Ramat Gan (Tel HaShomer) in the Tel Aviv District, under the Israeli Medical Corps.

Former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon was hospitalized in Sheba since May 28 and November 6, 2006.
