Shea Homes

Shea Homes, a division of the J.F. Shea Co., Inc., is America’s largest privately owned new home builder. Headquartered in Walnut, California, the company develops new communities in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina and Washington. Its communities offer home designs that include condominiums, townhomes, traditional single-family detached homes and luxury residences. In addition, Shea Homes is the developer of Trilogy active-adult communities.
Shea Homes was named 2007 Builder of the Year by Professional Builder magazine and is the sponsor of a multifaceted literacy awareness campaign which urges parents to “Read With Your Child 15 Minutes a Day.” Shea Homes is also a direct sponsor of the animated TV show Curious George which airs on PBS Kids.

Shea Homes’ parent company, the J. F. Shea Co., was founded in 1881 in Portland, Oregon by John F. Shea. In addition to being a new home builder, the J. F. Shea Company’s activities include commercial construction, civil engineering, commercial property development and management, construction materials and venture capital.
