She Cried No (also known as Freshman Fall) is a 1996 television film drama directed by Bethany Rooney.
[edit] Plot
She Cried No tells the story of Melissa (Candace Cameron Bure), a college freshman anxious to fit in at her new school who attends a rowdy fraternity party and is date-raped by one of its members, Scott (Mark-Paul Gosselaar). Melissa struggles to come to terms with what's happened to her, but eventually seeks help and decides that what Scott did to her will not go unpunished.
[edit] Kitsch
She Cried No enjoys a certain cult notoriety, in large part because the 1980's-raised viewer finds it difficult to watch its rapist and victim characters without thinking of them as Saved by the Bell's Zach Morris and Full House's D.J. Tanner.
