Shchuchye, Kurgan Oblast

Shchuchye (Russian: Щучье, lit. Esox',55°13′N, 62°46′E) is a town in Kurgan Oblast, administrative center of Shchuchansky District, located on Lake Shchuchye.

First settlement is known after 1750. Shchuchye got a town status in 1945. Its population is 10,700 (2005 Est).

There is large arsenal of Chemical warfare in the town.
