[edit] Thanks (stub refining)
Hey, no problem – you can see the complete stub template hierarchy at WP:WSS/ST. And welcome to Wikipedia, although I see you've been around since December 2004! --Bruce1ee 05:42, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Sidekick
No problem - I had not heard about this before I saw your article on New Pages. Unfortunately, I also just discovered that we did previously have an article on this general subject, and there was a decision taken to delete it: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/How_NOT_to_steal_a_SideKick_2. Did you know this when you created the new page? Johntex\talk 19:13, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AfD Nomination Stolensidekick.com
I've nominated the article Stolensidekick.com for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Stolensidekick.com satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Stolensidekick.com. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Stolensidekick.com during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. [edit] Just a Question
Hi Mr. Pickrell,
I'm a player down in Honaker's Academic Team, (whom i'm sure you have heard from via Alex Zachwieja), and I had been scanning over some of the matches that you released in that big bundle of matches, and have noticed that you ask quite a lot of C.S. Lewis/Narnia questions... I was really just kind of curious if you had an interest in this topic as much as I do now. I really got into it a few years back and I just can't get away from C.S. Lewis. After hearing the question "In his book, 'Surprised by Joy'..." and knowing that it was C.S. Lewis, it really makes me want to learn even more about him. But theres the question..If you DO get this just give a reply @ - User:Jordon Vandyke - here on Wikipedia. Thanks!
[edit] ACE
Hey Shawn, I am David Higgins. Unfortunately, I don't hold such a long title as you do; I'm just more of a student with a little too much free time on his hands. :P Though I knew that academic competitions existed across the entire country, I was previously under the impression that ours was unique to only our county. I then read your link to the MACC and SWAC homepage and found how that I was incorrect. Although our two systems have slight variations in scoring, they are indeed very similar. Regarding your upcoming article, I would love to help in any way I can. I don't know what I could help you write, but feel free to copy-paste some of the formats off of my page. I have the 8-team tournament bracket as well as a season scoring guide. As our season is over, I've since removed the latter; however, you can find it in the history on the March 8th edit. Good luck, Whitemage33 12:54, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] DC Meetup notice
Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Virginia, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 22:09, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
