[edit] AfD nomination of Josh Warner

An editor has nominated Josh Warner, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Josh Warner and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. [edit] Josh Warner

you left a note on my page, but, not being an admin, I can not see what I said or did on the subject. Do you have a saved copy of the article or the history? DGG 22:38, 7 May 2007 (UTC) apologies: I see the AfD, and I now remember the article perfectly well. It made claims about the importance of his jewelry that would be notable if sourced. If you have references now, please add them directly to the deletion review page. DGG 22:40, 7 May 2007 (UTC)

Correction again. I have look at the photos and commented. Normally our sources are words, not image. I've wondered whether we could use images, and this might be an interesting context to discuss it. it would be important to know where the photos are from--it will be much stronger as an argument if they were actually published. If Deletion review should not agree to relist, the general question of using photos as evidence can be argued elsewhere. Frankly, I do not know what the consensus will be on that, but I think it should be discussed. It is established that the reason we add photos to articles is to provide information, not decoration, so that's a stating point.
But if you do have written reviews, that would solve the problem of the article--do you? .
In general, I would offer you the advice that a good way to start writing articles about jewelers would be to find where reviews or other sources are published, and start from there, rather than to pick the jewelers and then look for sources. DGG 22:59, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks DGG, I have responded on the [Deletion Review Page]. Shaunco

[edit] Re: Josh Warner

Thanks for the message. I've responded at the Wikipedia: Articles for deletion/Josh Warner (second nomination). Please let me know if you need help or have questions. Thanks again. - KrakatoaKatie 04:30, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

  • Request completed. The photo was also undeletable, since it is in the public domain. Best wishes, Xoloz 21:33, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Post-AFD

AFD, as in any other XFD, is not a vote count, it is a discussion. Apparently, from looking at the closed AFD, the article needs more reliable sources that can be attributed to multiple places, not just the company's website. V60 干什么? · 喝掉的酒 · ER 4 20:05, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi,

You can raise the issue at Wikipedia:Deletion Review again. I know nothing of LA Ink; and so, cannot comment. Best wishes, Xoloz 14:12, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
