[edit] Template:San Diego County

I noticed that you recently put Aviara on the template. Just so you know, we do not normally put neighborhoods located inside the city limits of another city, like Aviara is inside the city limits of Carlsbad, on the template. Thanks. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 04:26, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Copyrighted images

Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Little People. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Little People with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Little People with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Little People saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Your original contributions are welcome. HokieRNB 13:39, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Commercial use of Image:Looky.jpg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Looky.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Looky.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Looky.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:42, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rescue Heroes images 2

Well, the article discusses the show and has the episodes listed. The main characters all have descriptions, and the descriptions have come from the TV Show. So, it seems appropriate you should put pictures of the cartoon characters. You can get pictures, I have drawn some of some of the cartoon characters and I can scan them in and put them up if you want. Let me know what you think. Kagome 85Kagome_85

[edit] Rescue Heroes Table added

I added an extra "table", called it "Pictures of Rescue Heroes Figurines." That way you can put pictures of Rescue Heroes figurines there, people can see all the ones we have so far at once then too.

[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:LPFarm.jpg

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:LPFarm.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 01:51, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay

A tag has been placed on Four Seasons Resort Lana'i at Manele Bay, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -WarthogDemon 02:46, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

I was quick to tag it . . . I removed the tag but it seems to me to read like an advert at its present state so I place an advert tag on it. Just tidy it up so it doesn't look too much like an ad and it'll be fine. Cheers. -WarthogDemon 02:49, 17 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Littlepeoplelogo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Littlepeoplelogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:05, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rescue Heroes Pictures added

Nice pictures added. Great job. Thanks for putting one of them in their "new animated" form too. 142.163.22.163Kagome_85

[edit] Vandalism

Why did you say that my edits on the Rescue HEroes pictures were vandalism? They weren't. All I said were who each of the figurines were, because you had some new figurines in the picture of all the "Rescue Heroes" in the figurines section. Someone who is looking at the picture might wonder who some of them are.

[edit] U.B. Funkeys

[edit] Spam in Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma, The Bahamas

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma, The Bahamas, by Russavia (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma, The Bahamas is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Four Seasons Resort Great Exuma, The Bahamas, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:59, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use disputed for Image:Image:FPSchoolbus.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Image:FPSchoolbus.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:55, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Specifically, in order for an image to be truly "authorized for use on Wikipedia", it has to be made available under a free content license such as the GNU Free Documentation License, the Creative Commons Attribution License, or the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 12:45, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:GeotraxCentralStation.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 17:45, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate images uploaded

Thanks for uploading Image:FPSmartCycle.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:SmartCycle.jpg. The copy called Image:SmartCycle.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 17:59, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of U.B. Funkeys

A tag has been placed on U.B. Funkeys, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD G11.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Dicklyon 16:59, 13 October 2007 (UTC)
