[edit] User page?
Why is the "Awards Center" hosted on a user page? It's received a lot of attention now and should be moved to something on Wikipedia space. I can move it myself but wanted to give you a chance first since I'm an outsider. Thanks. --Eustress (talk) 15:05, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

- This topic has been debated at length in a few places, including here. Basically, a userpage gives us the freedom offer challenges that would be highly contentious in the projectspace. The existence of this page would be threatened (more so than it has been in the past). I ask that you not move it to the projectspace and keep it where it is. --SharkfaceT/C 23:04, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
This Awards Center is hosted on a Wikipedia user page.
Per WP:IAR and editor consensus, the Wikipedia Award Center is hosted here to allow award challenges to be extended to all interested parties. Please do not move this page, but feel free to contribute and participate at your leisure. |
Who removed the header and why? --Eustress (talk) 16:36, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Limetolime
I want you to know that this awards page is causing at least one editor, Limetolime (talk ยท contribs), to go hog wild all over Wikipedia. Among other things, he has been posting wildly unprepared articles to FAC, passing questionable articles to GA status (causing an outcry from an editor who is working on the article), and making disruptive edits to Chocolate trying to get it to FA status, finally somehow getting it passed at GA even though half the sources have been proven bollocks. Now he's giving himself barnstars. My next step is going to be to file a user conduct RFC, but I would like the coordinators of this page to be aware of some of the behavior it spawns. --Laser brain (talk) 04:37, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
