[edit] Copyrighted images from nba.com Photo Store web stie
Please be advised that all images from the nba.com web site are copyrighted and cannot be freely used here on Wikipedia. This is especially true of the images that are for sale commercially in the Photo Store section of the web site. I see that you have uploaded many such images today and added them to varies players' articles. This is very much a copyright violation, so please discontinue the practice. The messages already on your talk page here above can provide you the pointers that will be helpful to Wikipedia's copyright and image use policies.
Thanks! Mwelch 21:51, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- OK, I've reviewed all of the images you uploaded today. They definitely all appear to be copyrighted (even the ones not specifically from nba.com), so I've made sure they're now removed all of the from the articles to which you added them. The images themselves most likely will eventually be deleted. Mwelch 22:35, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:AllenIverson-1.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:AllenIverson-1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

- You've provided a link in association with this image (http://hosted.ap.org/photos/D/DXA11001090515-big.jpg) but the link yields a 404-not_found error. Is there a more up-to-date source for the image? --User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 00:03, 29 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source and copyright for Image:VinceCarter.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:VinceCarter.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
The file also doesn't have a copyright tag, so one must be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:29, 29 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Thank you for uploading Image:Garypayton12.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:BenWallace.Jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:BenWallace.Jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL.

[edit] Speedy Delete
A tag has been placed on Shequille Huddleston, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. ***Clamster 17:16, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Shequille Huddleston. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. ***Clamster 17:22, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Shequille Huddleston. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. ***Clamster 17:23, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability of Trevon Huddleston
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Trevon Huddleston, by S Sepp, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Trevon Huddleston seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Trevon Huddleston, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Trevon Huddleston itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 17:32, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Courtney Barnes
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Courtney Barnes, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. - Walkiped (T | C) 17:37, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
