Your edit to Inheritance Trilogy

Please stop replacing text with links to Star Wars articles. If you want amore intellectual way of expressing your opinion on the Inheritance trilogy, I know a couple other websites that might welcome you.--Spyderchan 00:52, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

The bits that I edited were about events which are exacly the same as events in Star Wars, the Star Wars articles are more detailed and easier to read, as the main purpose of Wikipedia is to clearly display information, I think that the Star Wars articles serve this purpose better than the Inheritance articles and as the events are exactly the same a link to the Star Wars articles would be better for providing information. Shadoom1 01:25, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

At the moment linking to the SW articles are POV, and Wikipedia strives to not have a POV. If anyone who reads the articles is interested in the SW/Inheritance comparisons, I believe that there are links on the Inheritance Trilogy page and the Inheritance books' pages under "critical reaction."--Spyderchan 01:56, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

It is not POV, any one with half a brain would notice that they are almost exactly the same, if you consider it to be POV then read star wars and the section about the story line. Shadoom1 03:12, 3 October 2006 (UTC)

Until Paolini admits to directly taking inspiration from Star Wars, there's not much to be done. --Spyderchan 00:05, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

No, if I steal a bit of gold, I still stole it even if I don't admit it. The same is true for authors, just because Paolini has not admited that he stole from StarWars, that does not mean it hasn't happend Shadoom1 22:23, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

But to prove that you stole the gold (or metaphorically, that Paolini ripped-off SW) you would need some reliable citations, preferrably from professionals since stealing (or plagiarism) can be such a serious subject. Also, i believe that the Triple E Sux links are not suitable for Wikipedia because they are forums. --Spyderchan 21:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

If you think that the Triple E sux forum links are against Wikipedia rules, then remove them. About the Star Wars stuff, the plot similarities have been noted by a number of critics, see the main Eragon article for quotations from critics. Shadoom1 07:00, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Just listen to Spyderchan, he's a great guy. Believe me. Spaceboy January 11, 2007, 20:21 (EST)

Inheritance

Whoah! Hold it! You really need to discuss this before you go and put pages up for deletion. íslenskur fellibylur #12 (samtal) 01:22, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

All the information is on the Places in the Inheritance trilogy article, the articles are no longer needed and most are patheticly short, if you don't agree that they should be deleted then change the delete thing to a "suggested for deletion" thing Shadoom1 01:26, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Please do not prod

As sick as I am of prod in general, your proding of Intelligent design is mystifying. I would consider it outright vandalism in most cases, but your edit log doesn't suggest that. Maury 12:53, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

I dislike Intelligent design as much as anyone does. But this is an encyclopedia, and there will always be articles on subjects we find distasteful. But as an encyclopedia, it provides a service by allowing me to read about propaganda such as that. If I were to find a neutral POV source on the subject, Wikipedia is an oustanding place to turn. I don't agree with Intelligent Design, but I'd never ask to have the article deleted. Let's not censor. Orangemarlin 13:50, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
