[edit] Non-profit, educational etc. images
Hi, I'm afraid images limited to non-commercial or educational use are not allowed on Wikipedia[1] with that justification, it's simply not compatable with the GFDL license we use for our content. So I have listed Image:Bulgarian st stephen church.jpg for deletion. I know it might seem a little absurd that a non-profit website require images to allow commercial use, but the thing is our goal here is to create content that anyone can use, not just Wikipedia itself, and non-profit restrictions actualy rule out a lot of potential uses. Images such such restrictions might still be used under the fair use doctrine, however in this case we would not even have a very strong rationale for that, seeing as anyone with a camera could visit the church and make some free licensed images of it instead. --Sherool (talk) 14:27, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
you are completely correct, it is absurd!
