[edit] Setting
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles encompasses several scenarios, which are based on various plot elements from the Resident Evil series. The game's first three scenarios, "Train Derailment", "The Mansion Incident", and "Raccoon's Destruction", are set within Raccoon City, or its surrounding area in 1998. The Umbrella Chronicles' final scenarios, which is based on new material, is set in Russia, taking place in the 2003.
The game's plot attempts to expose the Umbrella Corporation's meddling throughout the series through narrations from Albert Wesker, a former Umbrella Corporation scientist, and hidden documents pertaining to the organization's secret motives and actions. The game's main plot is composed of five main scenarios that recapitulate the events of Resident Evil Zero, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, as well as new material pertaining to the Umbrella Corporation's downfall.
[edit] Characters
[edit] Plot
The Umbrella Chronicles' first scenario, based on the events of Resident Evil Zero, follows S.T.A.R.S operative Rebecca Chambers, and former-marine Billy Coen as they venture through a train that eventually takes them to a derelict training facility.[8] Once within the facility, they discover they are being stalked by James Marcus, one of the Umbrella Corporation's co-founders and former scientists, who has managed to resurrect himself with the aid of leech test-subjects.[9] After a confrontation, Marcus mutates into a monstrosity, but is subdued by the duo. Chambers and Coen escape as the facility self-destructs.[9] Another sub-chapter within the scenario traces Albert Wesker's actions, now posing as the leader of S.T.A.R.S' Alpha team, as he attempts to escape the training facility.[10][11]
The game then proceeds to retell the events of the first Resident Evil. The scenario follows both Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, as opposed to the actual Resident Evil game, which feature the two splitting up. Redfield and Valentine are forced to brave to battle their way through a mansion full of un-dead residents, before stumbling upon a secret Umbrella Corporation research facility in the mansion's basement.[12] The two then discover the facility's most powerful creation, a Resident Evil, and destroy it.[13] The scenario features two different sub-chapters, which reveal Chambers' action between Resident Evil Zero and Resident Evil,[14] as well as a Wesker's reanimation and escape after his apparent death.[15]
The Umbrella Chronicles next scenario visits Raccoon City during the events of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. Valentine returns to the game, and is paired with mercenary Carlos Oliveira, as they attempt to survive an outbreak of the T-Virus.[16] After defeating several un-dead citizens, Valentine and Oliveira encounter Nemesis, an upgraded Tyrant, sent to kill Valentine.[16] They defeat Nemesis and escape Raccoon city before it is destroyed by the United States government in desperate contingency effort.[17][18] The scenario also features two sub-chapters, detailing Ada Wong and HUNK's background roles during the main scenario's events.[19][20]
The game's final scenario is entirely composed of new material, which trails Redfield and Valentine as they attempt to infiltrate the Umbrella Corporation's final stronghold in Russia.[21] Now leading a group of armed activist, the duo storms the stronghold by force, encountering waves of un-dead soldiers and mutations.[21] Despite sustaining heavy causalities, the Redfield and Valentine enter the facility's inner-sanctum, only to encounter and destroy the Umbrella Corporation's latest creation, the T-A.L.O.S. Project.[22] The game's final sub-chapter features Wesker infiltrating the facility by himself in an attempt to recover the Umbrella Corporation's most important files.[23][24] He is confronted by his long-time nemesis, Sergei Vladimir, whom he defeats.[25] The game's credits reveal that the Umbrella Corporation's secrets have finally been exposed. As a result, the government dissolves the company and begins to take legal actions against its top officials.[26]

Hester began his professional career in the National Football League with the Chicago Bears, who selected him in the second of the 2006 NFL Draft.[31] The team drafted Hester as cornerback, but intended to play as a return specialist, following the retirement of Jerry Azumah, and departure of Bobby Wade.[31] However, the team's decision to draft Hester was initially met by skepticism by fans and sports analysts, who believed the Bears should have spent their early picks on offensive prospects.[32]
Hester emerged as one of the league's most productive return specialists during his rookie season. In his first professional regular season game, he returned an 84-yard punt for a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers.[33] He made headlines again, when he returned a punt for an 83-yard touchdown to en-route to a 24-23 come-back victory over the Arizona Cardinals.[34]

Samus is also informed that her fellow bounty hunters have also been corrupted, and vanished two weeks earlier. Samus is forced to destroy her former comrades in order to eradicate the Leviathan seeds. Her mission ultimately takes her to the Space Pirate Home World, where she manages to halt their assault on the universe with the assistance of the Galactic Federation Navy. The fleet then travels to the planet Phaaze, a planet entirely composed of Phazon. Samus travels to its core, where she finally defeats Dark Samus. As a result, Phaaze is destroyed, and all Phazon in the galaxy is rendered inert. At the end of the game Samus is seen flying into hyperspace with a mysterious spaceship following her.

[edit] History
Hajjmega Industries was founded in 2003, under the name "Shadow Inc". The company founded its basis by selling pirated forms of media to the masses. The company's illegal business practices lead to numerous run-ins with the law, most notably a threat from PBS' lawyers ordering a cease and desist.
Several months later, the company was reformed under the name, "Jo*Mega Industries". Similar to its predecessor, the company collected income by "importing and exporting random goods" over the Internet. The company, which operated out of the basement of high school, gained much popularity around the north side of Chicago. Following an abrupt metamorphosis, the company was renamed, "Hajjmega Industries"
Over its three years of existence, the company has ran into several confrontations with legal forces, most notably the stand off with AltaVista and Tripod.com Hosting. The company has also come under fire from various environmentalists regarding Hajjmega’s testing of Napalm in the forests of Skokie, IL.
The company is currently co-owned by Jack Lambert, the owner of the One-Eyed Weasel Corporation. In 2006, the company’s owners alledgly converted the company into a fight club, currently situated in an abandoned warehouse in Skokie’s industrial district. Company owner Joe F responded, In our hearts, we always knew we were headbussaz.”, when questioned. [40]

With the assistance of Samir Duran, the United Earth Directorate is able to activate the Psi Disrupter, which inhibits Zerg activity. The Directorate launches ground offensive on the Zerg home world of Char, and ultimately captures the Overmind. [edit] 2006 Bears
The 2006 Chicago Bears season marked the franchise’s eighty-seventh season of play. The Bears finished the season with a thirteen wins and three losses, which was the best record in the National Football Conference. Additionally, the Bears won their second consecutive NFC North Divisional championship on December 3, 2006, and later won the National Football Conference Championship on January 21, 2007. The team played against the Indianapolis Colts at Super Bowl XLI on February 4, 2007, where they lost by a score of 29-17.
The team sought to begin the season in hopes of redefining their offense, which ranked in the lower rungs of the League in the previous season. They accomplished with several offensive weapons; Rex Grossman, who completed his first full season by throwing 3,193 yards for twenty-three touchdowns; Cedric Benson and Thomas Jones, who rushed for a combined total of nearly 1,850 yards and twelve touchdowns. Their defense, lead by veterans Brian Urlacher and Mike Brown, only 15.9 point per game, ranked as the National Football Conference’s best defense and the League’s third best overall defense. Furthermore, the Bears’ Special Team unit was also widely recognized by the success of return specialist Devin Hester and place kicker Robbie Gould.
However, the team’s road to the Super Bowl was full of obstacles. Midway through the season, Grossman began to experience several inconsistent performances; the four-year veteran had seven game in which he obtained a high passer rating, but also recorded poor ratings in five games. The team’s defense began to show signs of struggle when injuries claimed Mike Brown and Tommie Harris for the season.
During the 2006 NFL season, the Chicago Bears would often end each huddle by exclaiming, "We're going to Space Mountain". According to players and commentators, the phrase symbolized the team's desire to reach and win the Super Bowl.[47]

He started his professional career with the Montreal Expos at the age of eighteen.[48] Barrett spent three years playing in the Minor Leagues as a short stop and catcher.[49] He had distinguished stints with the Honolulu Sharks, West Palm Expos, and Delmarva Shorebirds, and was elected to two All-Star games.[49] Barrett made his Major League debut in 1998 as a third baseman, but was shortly recalled to the Minor Leagues to play with the Harrisburg Senators for a season.[50]
Barrett’s return to the Major League was followed by productivity.[50] He ranked amongst the most productive rookies in 1999, and managed to earn a full-time spot on the Expos' roster by 2001.[50] However, Barrett failed to stay healthy during the 2003 season, prompting the Expos to trade him to the Oakland Athletics, who in turn, traded him to the Chicago Cubs.[50] His tenure with the Cubs was highlighted with a Silver Slugger award in 2005, and a productive 2004 season.[50] Despite achieving such success, the Cubs traded Barrett to the San Diego Padres in June of 2007.
[edit] Professional career
The Expos called Barrett to the Major League on September 19, 1998, in a game against the Cincinnati Reds.[50] Though Barrett hit a home run and a single in the game, he was shortly sent back to the Minor Leagues to play in a Class AA league.[50] Barrett’s productive performance in the minors earned him a spot on Eastern League all-star team.[50] More importantly, his success also allowed him to claim a spot on the Expos’ starting roster during the 1999 season.[50] Barrett posted pedestrian numbers during his rookie season, maintaining a batting average of .293, with 8 home runs and batted in fifty-two runs.[51] He was also converted from a short stop to catcher but his inconsistent play as a catcher prompted the Expos to send him back to the Minors for portions of the 2000 season.[50][48]
Barrett struggled to perform consistently in the 2000 season. He committed fifteen errors during the course of the season, while earning .891 Fielding percentage as a catcher.[48] These inconstancies prompted the Expos to send him to the Minors again. After playing thirty games with the Ottawa Lynx of the International League, Barrett returned to the Major League before the 2001 season.[49] He was named onto the team's opening day line-up, and eventually earned a full-time spot on the team.[50] He was one the Expos' most consistent hitters,[52] and posted career high statistics that season; leading all National League catchers with thirty-three doubles.[50] Barrett also managed to improve his defensive performance by raising his fielding percentage to .993, while only committing seven errors.[51]
Barrett also saw success in the 2002 season. He started the season by hitting home runs in the first two games of the season. Barrett finished the season’s first month with four home runs, seventeen runs batted in, eight doubles, and scored ten runs. He also set a franchise-record in April, by recording eleven runs batted in within the course of two-games. The league recognized his efforts by naming him the “National League co-Player of the Week” for the second week of April. However, Barrett failed to replicate his success from the 2001 season. Despite increasing his batting average to .263, Barrett struggled to perform consistently on defense; he committed nine errors, while lowering his fielding percentage to .989. His hopes of improving the numbers were cut short in the 2003 season, after he injured his index finger during a game against the Colorado Rockies.[53] He was hurt whilst recoving in ....[54]
Barrett eventually worked his way back to the Major League in time to become the Expos' opening day catcher. He had one of his most productive seasons in 2001 MLB season, leading all other National League catchers with thirty-three doubled.[50] Barrett productive season in 2002 MLB season, which culminated with April, when he scored ten runs, hit four home runs, and batted in seventeen runs.[48] His successful 2002 campaign was diluted by an injury-ridden 2003 season, during which he only managed to play seventy games.[50][51] In the subsequent off-season, the Expos traded Barrett to Oakland Athletics, who in turn traded him to the Chicago Cubs for Damian Miller the following day. [55]
Barrett's first year with the Cubs was one of his most productive; he posted career high statistics, while solidifying his defensive play.[50] While falling short of replicating similar statistics in the 2005 season, he still earned a Silver Slugger award.[51] Despite starting the 2006 season on a positive note, by representing the Unites States at the World Baseball Classic, Barrett's productivity was marred by suspension during a fight with A.J. Pierzynski (See Controversies section) and later a season-ending injury.[56][57]

Brian Keith Urlacher (born on May 25, 1978) is an American football player, who currently plays for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League. A distinguished alumnus of the University of New Mexico, Urlacher completed his four-year collegiate career as a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, while also earning some consideration in the Heisman Trophy voting.[1] He started his professional career with Bears as the ninth overall selection in 2000 NFL Draft.[2]
Urlacher has since established himself as one of the league’s most productive defensive player. Since winning the NFL Rookie of the Year Award in 2000, he has been elected to five Pro Bowls,[3] and won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 2005.[1] His playing style, accomplishments and reputation have made him one of the team's most popular players. Urlacher is also known for his commercial success;[4] Sega Sports selected Urlacher to appear on the cover of NFL 2K3, while other companies such as Nike and Vitamin Water have featured him in advertisements.[5][6]
[edit] Early life
Brian Urlacher was born to Brad and Lavoyda Urlacher in Pasco, Washington.[7] After his parents separated, Lavoyda raised Urlacher and his siblings in Lovington, New Mexico. He spent his youth immersed in sports, and developed a partiality towards football, basketball, and later table tennis.[7] While his mother worked several jobs to keep her family afloat, Urlacher spent his teenage years playing sports for the Lovington High School and training in weight rooms.[7] The training helped Urlacher gain the speed, height, and muscle mass he would need to solidify his football career.[7]
As he progressed though high school, Urlacher gained experience in all three phases of football. He saw play time as a running back, wide receiver, return specialist, and defensive back.[1] Urlacher led the Lovington High Wildcats to an undefeated 14-0 season, and a division 3-A state championship.[7] He finished the season with twelve touchdown receptions, six touchdown returns, and two rushing touchdowns.[1] He additionally merited state-recognized honors in football, as well as basketball.[8] Lovington has since recognized Urlacher’s accomplishments by retiring his high-school jersey number, and naming a holiday after him.[1]
[edit] Collegiate career
Urlacher wished to attend Texas Tech University, but the school did not offer him an athletic scholarship.[7] The University of New Mexico and New Mexico State University were the only two Division I schools that offered Urlacher scholarships.[7] He ultimately enrolled into the University of New Mexico, and chose to major in Criminology.[8] The New Mexico Lobos' head coach, Dennis Franchione, converted Urlacher to linebacker, but often left him on the sidelines in favor of more experienced players.[7] The team finished with winning records during Urlacher's first two years, and even made a trip to the 1997 Insight.com Bowl.[7] The Franchione's success prompted him to leave New Mexico in favor of Texas Christian University. His departure prompted the school to hire Rocky Long, the University of California, Los Angeles' former head coach, to relieve his position.
Despite the change, Urlacher flourished under Long's tenure.[7] Urlacher not only received more play time, but also played a more versatile role on both offense and defense. Long converted Urlacher into a "Lobo-Back", a cross-between a linebacker and free safety, and placed him in a 3-3-5 defense scheme.[9] He spent significant time training with the team's defensive coordinator, Bronco Mendenhall, who helped Urlacher refine his skills as a defensive back.[7] Long also used Urlacher as a return specialist and wide receiver throughout his final two years with the Lobos.[8] Despite Long's extensive changes to the team's roster, formations, and work ethic, the Lobos' performance declined. However, Urlacher became the one of the team's most productive players during this time. He finished his career with 442 tackles, three interceptions, eleven sacks and force fumbles.[1] Outside of defense, he scored six touchdowns, and returned five kicks for touchdowns.[1]
Urlacher is regraded as the University of New Mexico's most decorated alumni. After the 1999 season, he was one of the finalists for the Jim Thorpe Award, and even finished twelfth on Heisman Trophy ballot.[10] Urlacher received All-American honors from Walter Camp, Football Writers Association of America, and Associated Press.[8] He played his final collegiate game at the 2000 Senior Bowl, where he was one of the game's top players.[11] Urlacher led the nation with 178 tackles during his junior year, which not only lead the nation, but set a school record.[1] He finished with the third most career tackles in the University of New Mexico's history.[1] The school has honored Urlacher on several occasions. They awarded him with the Male Athlete of the Year Award in 2000,[12] and even held a special half-time ceremony to honor his success in 2006.[13] Urlacher was also the first person to be inducted into the University of New Mexico's Football Wall of Fame.[14]
[edit] Professional career
[edit] Beginning
Urlacher was considered to be one of the most talented collegiate prospects headed into the 2000 NFL Draft.[15] He impressed spectators and analysts at the NFL Combine by bench pressing 255 pounds twenty-five times, and completing the forty-yard Dash in 4.57 seconds.[7][16] The Chicago Bears, who were in need of a defensive play-maker, selected Urlacher in the first round, as the draft's ninth overall pick.[17] He signed a five-year contract, which was worth nearly eight million dollars with a five and a half million dollar signing bonus, within two months of the draft.[18] Dick Jauron, who was then the Bears' head coach, recognized Urlacher's versatility as a middle and outside linebacker, and appointed him as the team's starting strongside linebacker.[7][19] However, Urlacher struggled to perform consistently in his first few professional games, and lost his starting position to Rosevelt Colvin.[20]

[edit] Breakthrough success
Linkin Park released Hybrid Theory on October 24, 2000. The album, which represented nearly half a decade’s worth of the band’s work, was edited and polished by music producer Don Gilmore within less than a year.[12] Hybrid Theory was well received by music fans; The band sold more than 4.8 million records during its debut year, while singles such as Crawling and One Step Closer established themselves as staples among Alternative Rock radio playlists during the year.[13] Additionally, other singles from the album were featured in movies such as Dracula 2000, Little Nicky, and Valentine.[13] Hybrid Theory was also nominated for three Grammy Awards, including best new artist, best rock album, and best hard rock performance (for Crawling).[14] MTV also awarded the band their Best Rock Video and Best Direction awards for In the End.[12] Though the band only won the Grammy for best hard rock performance, the Hybrid Theory's overall success had catapulted the band into the mainstream's attention.
During this time, the Linkin Park received many invitations to perform with many recognized tours and concerts including the Ozzfest, Family Values Tour and KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas.[13][15] The band also formed their own tour, Projekt Revolution, which featured other notable artists such as, Cypress Hill, Adema, and Snoop Dog.[16] Within a year's stretch, Linkin Park had performed at over 320 concerts.[12] The experiences and performances of the precocious band were documented in their first DVD, Frat Party at the Pankake Festival, which debuted in November of 2001. Now reunited with former bassist Dave Farrel, the band began work on a remix album, dubbed Reanimation, which would include works from Hybrid Theory and Hybrid Theory EP.[13] The album debuted on July 30, 2002, featuring the likes of Black Thought, Jonathan Davis, Aaron Lewis, and many others.[17] Reanimation claimed the second spot on the Billboard 200, and sold nearly 860,000 copes during its debut week.[18]
[edit] Meteora debuts
Following the success of Hybrid Theory and Reanimation, Linkin Park spent a significant amount of time touring around the country. The band began to work on new material amidst the saturated schedule, spending a sliver of their free time in their tour bus' studio.[19] The band officially announced the production of a new studio album in December of 2002, revealing their new work was inspired by Meteora, a historic monastery in Greece.[20] Meteora featured a mixture of the band's previous nu-metal and rapcore styles with newer innovative effects, including the induction of a Japanese Flute and other instruments.[12] Eponymous to Meteora, the Linkin Park's sophomore album debuted on March 25, 2003, instantly earning worldwide recognitions.[12]
Meteora sold more than 800,000 copies during its first week, and ranked as the best selling album on the Billboard charts.[21] Some of the album's singles, including Somewhere I Belong, and Faint and Numb, were adapted into music videos, and received significant radio attention.[22] Eventually, Meteora sold nearly three million copies by October 2003.[23] The album's success allowed Linkin Park to form another Projekt Revolution, which featured other bands and artists including, Mudvayne, Blindside, and Xzibit.[12] Additionally, Metallica, a famed heavy metal group, invited Linkin Park to play at the Summer Sanitarium Tour 2003, which included well-known acts such as, Blink-182, Blur, System of a Down, and Limp Bizkit.[24] The band released an album and DVD, entitled Live in Texas, which consisted of audio and video tracks of some of the band's performances in Texas during the tour.[12]
Meteora also earned the band additional awards and honors. The band won MTV's awards for Best Rock Video (Somewhere I Belong), Viewer's Choice Award (Breaking the Habit).[25] Linkin Park also received significant recognition during the 2004 Radio Music Awards, winning the Artist of the Year and Song of the Year (Numb) awards.[25] Although the Meteroa was not nearly as successful as Hybrid Theory, it was the third best selling album in America during 2003.[13] The band spent the first few months of 2004 touring around the world, first with the third Projeckt Revolution tour, and later several European concerts.[13]
[edit] Side Stuff
Following Meteroa's success, the band put postponed working on a new studio album next several years. Instead, Linkin Park continued to tour and work on many side projects. Bennington appeared on DJ Lethal’s State of the Art and other work with Dead By Sunrise, while Shinoda did work with Depeche Mode.[13] In 2004, the band began to work with Jay-Z in order to produce another remix album, entitled Collision Course. The album, which featured intermixed the lyrics and background tracks from both artists' backgrounds, debuted in November 2004. Shinoda also formed a new band, Fort Minor, as a side project. With the aid of Jay Z, Fort Minor released their debut album, The Rising Tide to critical acclaim.[26][27] On the home front, the band's relationship with Warner Bros. Records was declining rapidly, on account of several trust and financial issues.[28] After months of feuding, the band's finally negotiated a deal in December 2005.[29]
Additionally, the also participated in numerous chartable events. Linkin Park helped raise money to befit victims of Hurricane Charley in 2004, and later Hurricane Katrina in 2005.[13] They also helped relief efforts for the 2004 Tsunami victims by staging several charity concerts, and setting up an additional fund called, "Music for Relief".[30] Most notably, however, the band participated at Live 8, a series of charitable set up to raise global awarenesses.[31] Alongside with Jay-Z, the band performed on Live 8's stage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to a global audience.
Meteora also won several awards.
Eventually selling nearly three million copies in the United States alone, the album's success was [32]
[edit] RE
Linkin Park finally returned to the recording studios in 2006 to work on new material. Despite initially stating the album would debut sometime in 2006, the album was pushed of to 2007.[36] The album recorded nearly thirty to fifty songs in August of 2006, when Shinoda stated the album was halfway completed.[37] Bennington later added that the new album would stray away from their previous nu-metal sound.[38] Warner Bros. Records officially announced that the band’s third studio album, entitled Minutes to Midnight, would be released on May 15, 2007 in the United States.[39] After spending fourteen months working on album, the band opted to further refine their album by removing five of the original seventeen tracks.[36] The new sound and lyrics helped the Minutes to Midnight sell over 600,000 copies in its first week, making it one of the most successful debut week albums in history. It additionally captured the top spot in the Billboard Charts.[40]
The first single "What I've Done" was released April 2 and premiered on MTV and Fuse, in the same week[44]. "What I've Done" appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 soon after it's debut. It peaked at #7 for the week of April 21st, which is the highest position that a Linkin Park single has held on debut. "What I've Done" also debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart, and Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks.[45] The reception of the album worldwide has been positive. Two other singles are now known to be coming soon. "Given Up" is scheduled to release on August 6, 2007, and "Shadow of the Day" is scheduled to release on October 8, 2007.[46] This has not been confirmed by the band themselves.
The albums first single, What I've Done was released on April 2, and later premiered on MTV and Fuse within the same week.[47] The single was acclaimed by listeners, reaching the Billboard Hot 100 days after its debut, and later was the top ranked song on the Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks and Mainstream Rock Tracks charts.[48] Many news sources have reported that Given Up is scheduled to release on August 8, and Shadow of the Day is scheduled to be release on [October 8.[49]

[edit] Background
Several years before the actual events of StarCraft, the Terrans originated on Earth. Humanity, now in the twenty-third century, is plagued with corruption, injustice, and overpopulation. In order to solve these problems, most of the world's governments banded together to form the United Power League, a fascist world government that controls almost all activity on Earth. The government launches a worldwide genocide to purge the Earth from criminals, hackers, and most forms of opposition.[51] After succeeding, the government gathers several thousand remaining prisoners, and launches them into space on four separate ships. Three ships are lead by one super carrier, which is controlled by a computer called ATLAS. Over the course of the trip, ATLAS malfunctions, and eventually forces the each ship to crash land on a different planet. The survivors of the crash emerge from their ships, unaware that there are other survivors on the neighboring planets.[51]
Sixty years pass before technological advancements enable the neighboring worlds to re-unite. This creates a period of prosperity, which leads to the colonization of other uninhabited worlds. During this periods, the Terrans on the planet Tarsonis form unify several colonies, and form the Terran Confederacy. The government exploration and additional colonization of the Koprulu Sector, which would later serve as the setting for most of the series, alarmed neighboring Terran Kel-Morian Combine, and began to aid those who were oppressed by the Confederacy. The growing tensions between the two eventually sparks a war between the two, leading to additional political instability. By the war's end, the Confederacy gains control over the Kel-Morian's assets, but soon became antagonized by other Terran Worlds.[51]

[edit] Twilight
Midna is member of the Twili, a fictional race of magic-wielders, who have been imprisoned in the Twilight Realm. Prior to the events of the game, Midna, the Twilight Princess, is appointed to become the Twili‘s next ruler.[52] Her reign is cut short when Zant, a servant of the Twili’s Royal Family, usurps Midna, and transforms her into an imp. He begins to exploit his sovereignty, and corrupts many of the Twili’s denizens. Midna seeks revenge by seeking the Fused Shadow, a group of artifacts that will grant her the power to defeat Zant.[53]
Fortunately, Midna meets Link, the protagonist of the game, who is in a state of disarray after transforming into a wolf.[54] The two form a productive partnership; Midna helps Link gain certain abilities and attacks, while also offering invaluable advice.[55] In turn, Link helps Midna recover the pieces of the Fused Shadow.[56] The duo eventually battle their way through three dungeons in order to retrieve all four pieces of the Fused Shadow. However, they are Zant catches the them off guard, and seizes the Fused Shadow before Midna can use it against him. He then proceeds to expose Midna, a native of the Twilight Realm, to the light of a Hylian spirit, and transforms Link into his wolf form using a form of ancient magic.[57][58]
The attack leaves Midna near death. Link, transports his crippled accomplice to Princess Zelda. Despite Midna's protest, Zelda uses her power to revive Mida, and disappears in the process.[59] During the latter portion of the game, it is revealed that Zelda's spirit was residing inside of Midna.[60] She then leads Link on a new objective to find the Twilight Mirror, an artifact that will enable the two to enter Twilight Realm and defeat Zant. En route to finding the mirror, they discover the Master Sword, which not only heals Link, but also leads Midna to discover how to change Link into a wolf and human.[61] They finally find the mirror's chamber, only to discover that Zant has scattered it across Hyrule. After resembling it, a group of Sages informs Link that Midna is the Twilight Princess, and the true heir to the realm.[62]
Midna and Link finally travel to the Twilight Realm, where they attack Zant. He falls to Link's Master Sword, but refuses to surrender to the duo.[63] Midna reclaims the Fused Shadow, and obliterates Zant. The two then hastily travel to Hyrule Castle, where Midna uses the Fused Shadow to transform into a large arachnid-like, and breaks into the castle. She helps Link rescue Zelda's physical body. Midna proceeds to use the Fused Shadow again, in order to destroy Ganon, and protects Link and Zelda by warping them to Hyrule field. The attempt is in vain, as Ganon is seen destroying the fused shadow on horse back. After Link defeats Ganon, he discovers that Midna has been transformed into her original humanoid-like form. During the game's final cinematic sequence, she bids farewell to Link and Zelda. While making her return to the Twilight Realm, she destroys the Twilight mirror, thus closing the only known link between the two worlds.
Zant is one of the major antagonists in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. He is a member of Twili, who usurps Midna, and seizes control of the Twilight Realm. Zant is a former servant, who once devoted his life to the Twili's Royal Family in hopes of one day succeeding them.[64] However, Zant disdain towards the Light Realm, and desires of conquest eventually ruin his reputation among his fellow Twilight Denizens.[65] He is finally driven to melancholy and bitterness when the Royal Family selects Midna to become the Twili's new ruler.[66] Zant soon allies himself him Ganon, who promises to fulfill Zant's desires in exchange for his service.[67]
Shortly after over throwing Midna, Zant turns many of the Twilight Realm's inhabitants into his own minions, and dispatches them into the Light Realm. They begin to cover the Light Realm in darkness, in fulfillment of Ganon's will.[68] However, Link and Midna begin to fight against Zant's minions, and come close to thwarting his plans. Zant ambushes the duo; the attack leaves Midna near death, while transforming Link into a wolf. The two persevere, and eventually confront Zant within his own sanctum. Link manages to bring Zant to his knees, but he refuses to recant. The self proclaimed King of Darkness taunts Midna by claiming his faith in Ganon will grant him immortality,[69] prompting her to completely obliterate Zant with the power of the Fused Shadow. He makes a final appearance during one of the final cinematic sequences, in which his neck "snaps" as Ganon dies.

[edit] D-Hest
Shortly after losing Super Bowl XLI, Hester and special teams coach David Toub, spent a significant amount of time working on new return strategies and formations.[81] Ultimately, Lovie Smith converted Hester into a wide receiver, in order to increase the amount of opportunities he would receive during a game.[82] Hester, who originally played as a wide receiver at the University of Miami, was initially hesitant about making the switch to offense, as he wished to follow in the footsteps of Deion Sanders.[83] However, the Bears’ coaching staff eventually persuaded Hester to make the transition over the summer. During the 2007 off-season, Hester won the Best Breakthrough Athlete ESPY Award,[84] and was invited to sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the Chicago Cubs’ home opener in April.[85]
Hester returned his first touchdown of the season, a 73-yard punt return, against the Kansas City Chiefs during week two.[86] He nearly recorded a second touchdown return, but the play was negated by a holding penalty.[86] Hester established himself as a threat on offense, when he caught an 81-yard touchdown pass from Brian Griese against the Minnesota Vikings.[87] He also returned a punt for a 89-yard touchdown, though the Bears’ lost the game. In the weeks to come, many opposing special teams began to kick the ball away from Hester, attributing to, according to Mike Pereira a 132% increase in kickoffs that went out-of-bounds.[88] Rod Marinelli, the head coach of the Detroit Lions placed a strong emphasis on kicking the ball away from Hester, stating “kick the ball into Lake Michigan and make sure it (sinks) to the bottom.”[89]
Before the Bears’ week twelve match-up against the Denver Broncos, Todd Sauerbrun infamously stated that he would kick the ball to Hester.[90] Hester, who had not returned a kick for a touchdown in almost a month, responded by returning a punt and kick-off for touchdowns.[91] Keith Olbermann, a commentator for NBC Sunday Night Football awarded Sauerbrun with the dubious “Worst Person in the NFL Award” for kicking the ball to Hester, and failing to tackle him.[92] The two touchdown have Hester the most kick returns for touchdowns in the Bears’ franchise history. Hester concluded the season with 64-yard punt return for a touchdown and 55-yard touchdown reception against the New Orleans Saints.[93] He was even given the opportunity to throw a pass on a variation of a wide receiver reverse, but he was sacked while motioning to Bernard Berrian.[94]
Hester finished the season six kick returns, which set a League record. He finished the season ranking fourth on the League’s all-time combined kick return list, behind Brian Mitchell (13), Eric Metcalf (12), and Dante Hall (12).[95] Additionally, he amassed 299 yards on twenty receptions as a receiver, though he was often used as a decoy.[96] His play on offense received mix commentary. While the Bears’ coaching staff believed Hester should enough progress to become on of the teams top receivers in 2008, Hester was prone to making small errors, including running routes incorrectly or dropping catches.[97][98] He drew a fifteen-yard face-mask penalty whilst attempting to fend off a would-be tackler, and received a $5,000 dollar.[99] Nevertheless, Hester concluded the season with four Player of the Week Awards, giving him a franchise high six total in his career, and an invitation to the 2008 Pro Bowl.[100]
