In the following sentence: "However, he drew criticism for left groups because of the harsh methods he had undertaken (such as house demolitions)" I think the word "harsh" is a POV. It is a personal opinion and definitely doesn't add any information. Therefore I removed it.



I moved this part from the article on Mofaz.

In February 2004, Sharon signaled the world that all of Mofaz's & IDFs harsh tactics against the Palestinians including totally isolating Arafat, had failed completely and ordered the settlements in Gaza to be evacuated starting this summer.

It was from the following reason:

  1. It is not related to Mofaz directly.
  2. It is a commantary of the (unknown) writer.
  3. "Completly faield" - according to who?
  4. It is inaccurate. There wasn't any order from Sharon to evacuate Gaza. This plan is still under consideration.
  5. It is very POV and lacks any encylopedian value.

[edit] Disputed allegations against Mofaz

Shaul Mofaz failed the officers test 3 times. Finally Israel just made him an officer.

Shaul disobeyed Yoni Netanyahus orders to kill Ugandan snipers at Entebbe resulting in Yonis death.

Shaul panicked in Lebanon, ordered all Israels bases worth billions of shekels to be blown up overnight and ordered the Israeli army to flee Lebanon in 24 hours.

Shaul Mofaz ordered hid pilots to commit crimes against humanity by deliberately bombing Palestinian apartment buildings killing innocents, his orders to his soldiers to shoot Palestinian stone throwers in the futile hope of ending the intifada have resulted in his being target #1 in the upcoming Hague War Tribunals Investigation of Israels military conduct.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon duped Shaul Mofaz into believing the armies of sovereign nations can't commit war crimes and are immune.

Conveniently failing to tell Mofaz sovereign states like Nazi Germany, Emperor Tojo's Japan, Noriegas Panama, and Saddam's Iraq were sovereign states and they were convicted of war crimes against humanity.

Shaul Mofaz will sell his soul to be Prime Minister hoping if a liar and Sabra-Chatila butcher like Sharon can be elected Prime Minister, then he-Shaul Mofaz stands a chance.

5 FEBRUARY 2004-Mofaz is under the mistaken assumption that armies of sovereign nations do not commit war crimes, only guerrillas and terrorists do.

When the Americans destroyed armies of Germany & Japan they were destroying sovereign nations militaries who committed war crimes.

When the Americans destroyed the Panama Defense Forces and imprisoned Manuel Noriega, the best buddy Israeli criminal & former Mossadnik Mike Harari and the state of Israel ever had, they proved the sovereign nation of Panamas armed forces were war criminals.

And finally when America defeated Iraqs war criminal armed forces and finally imprisoned Saddam Hussein, once again America proved the military of sovereign nations are war criminals.

Mofaz is under the blue-sky fantasy delusion that the IDF can't commit war crimes solely because it's the military of a sovereign nation. How wrong he will find out sooner than later.

I was the driver for Shaul Mofaz at Entebbe. Yoni Netanyahu told Mofaz 3 different times by radio to silence the Uganda soldiers & snipers first; before proceeding to destroy Mig aircraft, nearly all Migs were unflyable and in states of disrepair.

Mofaz desiring all the glory, found Yonis order would deprive him of any major achievement at Entebbe; so Mofaz ignored it. By disobeying Yonis orders, Mofaz got Yoni killed. Mofaz is a true example that the Peter Principle actually works in the IDF, meaning the more incompetent one is in the IDF the higher he will rise in rank. Aluf Dan Halutz is further proof the Peter Principle really works. Halutz being made Deputy Ramat Kal by Sharon & Mofaz.

Shaul Mofaz was in England yesterday, doing what else? Lying about how moral the IDF is. Any former general or defense minister who starts every speech with how moral the IDF is, does not believe it himself.

3 time officer candidate school failure Mofaz has delusions he will be a future Prime Minister.

Like Sharon, Mofazs perceived ability far exceeds his actual ability.

Shaul Mofaz should be sharing the war crimes prison cell with Milosevic at the Hague now, but he will in the future.
