Shannon is not a native of California. She is a native of TEXAS! Though she represented California in 1992 she is just another Southern Girl to take home the title of Miss USA!

[edit] lawsuit

It's ok, and desireable to discuss the lawsuit. But, only facts from independent, neutral, reliable sources, can be brought into this, given the sensitive nature of it. Citing opinions/claims of parties is ok, as a compliment to the facts, but first we need reporting of the facts. I vaguely recall this being reported in the mainstream media, so finding good sources, shouldn't be hard. So, I'm mystified why the contributor(s) haven't bothered to do that.
