[edit] Headings
I think it might look better and be easier to read if there are headings for each of the series, agree? Padishar 23:55, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sure. I think it would also allow us to add some additional depth to each series on this page, i.e. a brief plot introduction, instead of just saying what characters are involved. Sraan 01:28, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
The criticism documentation of the sword of shannara does not belong under the section heading of the first trilogy it is well documented and appropriate on the sword of shannara page. Thus that single line of criticism documentation has been removed from this section.
[edit] Conflicting Claims
According to the article the books are chronologically set in the following order:
- Year 0: The First King of Shannara - same time as The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara Trilogy
- Year 500: The Original Shannara Trilogy
- Year 800: The Heritage of Shannara Tetralogy
- Year 950: The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara Trilogy
As you can see The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara Trilogy appears both in year 0 (year numbers are made up for this post) and year 950. So which is it? Same time as the First King of Shannara or approximately 950 years after the First King of Shannara? --John Lynch 08:08, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- The prequel The First King of Shannara is set during the lifetime of Jerle Shannara
- This is what you're referring to, I assume. Jerle Shannara is the "First King" himself. The Voyage of the Jerle Shannara Trilogy refers in its title to the airship named after the king. --EvilFred 00:57, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Order of Series
The listing of series is pretty much in chronological order of publication, except the Word/Void trilogy is listed second-to-last. It actually came out after First King and before the Voyage trilogy. Wouldn't it be better to place it there? I can't think of a good justification for having it where it is. I imagine it was there because it was unsure if it was Shannara's world, and then it stayed there when the Genesis series was added at the end, but it seems as if it's justification for being listed last is no longer relevant. [edit] Pronunciation
Is there any information out there on how the word is pronounced? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.63.19.210 (talk) 22:25, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
