[edit] Filmfare Awards

There seems to be some confusion on the status of the filmfare awards for the Best Music Director in 1959. Apparently most of the music sites on the net (and that includes the IMDB) had got it wrong and Anadi did not win it. As far as I can recall one of its songs had won the award and not the album. Can somebody look into this? Do filmfare people maintain an archive?

[edit] Highest paid?

imo, the claim that they are the highest paid music directors of all time needs substantiation. Within the context of Bollywood, people like R. D. Burman, Laxmikant Pyarelal and currently A. R. Rahman can all be claimants to that tag. --Gurubrahma 10:05, 27 November 2005 (UTC)

Good observation but imho "Highest paid" needs to be calliberated to the economic standards and the nominal value of the ruppee in those and these times (inflation effects etc....) --User:Apoorv Khurasia 0124, 9 Apr 2007

I think parasmani has music from laxmikant pyarelal and it was their first film for which they received the coveted filmfare award. Please check. Shaktiraj Singh Gaahrwar —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.11.102.179 (talk) 12:15, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
