[edit] Beer by the case
I live in PA and this is not worded correctly (Due to Pennsylvania alcohol control laws beer may only be purchased by the case[1). You can by a glass or bottle of beer in a bar, you can even get it to go. You can certainly by six packs in a bar, it used to be up to 144oz which is 6 six packs of 16 oz cans or bottles. So I know the rule is you can't buy a case (at a time) in a bar, but the article says "beer may only be purchased by the case" it doesn't say in a bar or distributor. Also I believe but I will check that a distributor can mix a case of beer.Tstrobaugh 22:23, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- I looked it up. It depends on what kind of license you have. Here are the PLCB license types:

- Not relevant, anyhow. Perhaps add to PLCB entry to explain why beer distributors exist in Pennsylvania. I edited out of article. Alphageekpa (talk) 19:11, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Notability
I added the notability tag to the article. I do not believe this company/retailer meets notability criteria as per WP:ORG. Even if it does, substantiation of claims ("largest beer distributor") must be cited. Alphageekpa (talk) 13:17, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

- Edited down further. Most of the entry was complete fluff. Alphageekpa (talk) 19:10, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wiki-snobbery
It seems that those running their mouths here need to 1) kiss a girl, 2) move out of their parents basements, and 3) get a clue. Shangy's is one of the largest beer distributors in the US. If you were old enough to drink beer you'd know this. Perhaps this general ignorance to this fact is because they are freshman in college and drink "The Beast" and/or consider Rolling Rock to be a "good" beer. Before making sweeping condemnations ask your dad's about Shangy's.Check the available beer magazines. You might be surprised. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.229.193.49 (talk) 00:22, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
