I lived 1 mile from the old Shady Grove Township my whole life. When I was 17 I wrote an article for the Jesup paper about Shady Grove Township. I was also invited to become a part of the Buchanan County Historical Society as a Shady Grove Township Investigator (if you will). I have talked to thousands of people and done tons of research on this subject. I did correct some of the information on this site because it was inaccurate or was in need of an addition.
