Googling on SHAHIDLIPI brought out several references on SHAHIDLIPI and it is evidenced that SHAHIDLIPI was the first Bengali language implemenation on computers.

Googling on SHAHID LIPI brought up more references on the subject. I see no reason for any change neccessary to this article.

As far as we know Shahid Lipi (scripture dedicated to the martyres of the 1952 language movement in East Pakistan, which was a major force in the creation of Bangladesh in 1971) was the first Bengali Word Processor Application that was used by many people in goverment and private sector.
