Around 18, she moved out to California, where she began exotic dancing.

Her first movie was with Ed Powers. She became a contract player for Sin City, an adult production company, in 1998; she left Sin City in early-2000.

Sweet often worked with fellow Texan Katie Gold and her forte is mostly hardcore heterosexual.

Shay Sweet owns a bar in Texas called Coyote Ugly (she reveals this on the Behind The Scenes Extras on the DVD Fine Ass Bitches).

Shay Sweet was engaged for a number of years to fellow pornograpic actor Tony Martino[1] (aka Chuck Martino & Philmore Butts), during which she only performed lesbian/girl-girl scenes. Her engagement ended in 2005.
